A very eventful day around here... A once in many lifetimes experience! ? I saw this lil' feller run out in front of a car-- thought it was a lost baby goat. ?Stopped to get it, and WOW!! ?A real Albino Whitetail Deer. ?Just hours old, but doing fine. ?No Momma deer around. Another car nearly hit it in front of me ..
Well, he is THE neatest thing any of us ever saw. And such a 'freak of nature', that only 1 in more th an a million are even born. He took his bottle of food, followed us around the house, doing great. So, we called the Zoo & Fossil Rim, who were both interested, but we're going to send him to a Rehab farm. Maybe he will make it in captivity somewhere and be appreciated. So rare... Sure wanted to keep him tho. but, not the thing to do. And not LEGAL either. Here are a couple of pictures to show you. ? He was snow white, pink eyes, ears, nose and hooves. Kids called him POWDER. He was SO small. That is my shoe lying beside him... WOW..how cool is that??

i think thats up for debate. it all depends on the range. if its far away, its not as cute, and more fun and challenging to shoot at
having a heart. ill rep for that

A rehaber will release it back into the wild where it will fall to predation or a hunter.. Send it to somwhere thats gonna keep it. Ive seen 1 albino buck in my my life. I didnt shoot it thinking aawwee thats really cool. a week later some fat scumbag shot it anyway.
Very cure fawn. Too bad ur in FL my cousin liz does rehabs , placements and works with some zoos and shit but in CT. Definatly do some research. cute little guy!
Nice save. Never knew there was such an animal in existance. Positive rep for saving an animal.

whitetail come in several rare colors In order of rarity melanastic (black) Albino (white) and Piebauld which is like a freak of the bunch but the least rare brown , black and white
I wouldn't shoot an albino deer. I mean yeah, I'd love to have it mounted on my wall and be like, "Look at what I shot", but at the same time its one of nature's oddities and I'd rather observe it than shoot it. There are plenty of regular deer to thin the herd out with.
