Default few questions. PLEASE HELP

1.my idle is jumping from 1000-2500 and when i start my car it revs to 3500-4500 for about 10 seconds and drops and starts to jump. i cant determine if it is the TPS or the IACV. 2. when i reverse it seems like my axles make a clicking noise. but only in reverse. i will give rep for help. and also my civ is LS swapped

check ur iac, tps, and fast idle. u can also try n play with the idle screw on the tb. check for vaccuum leaks too. those are the most common causes of funky idle. my car does the same thing in reverse. its fine. just means that ur axels are going to be needing replacing soon, but u can still run em till they start to make clicking noises when u turn. i used to have an ls swap in my del sol (it is now ls vtec) and ran into the same problems.

to find a vaccuum leak just spray some wd40 or sumthin around the intake side of the head n c where it bubbles. if it dont bubble then ur not leakin. check the throttle body gasket n c if thats leakin too. the fast idle is the thing bolted to the back of the throttle body. iac is under the intake manifold. tps is also on the throttle body.

i would not change youe Tsp sensor unless you car is stalling out when you hit the gas or come down form high rpms or your ecu is throwing a tps code..try unpluging your idel control then start the car and see if the idel is low if it is then that maybe your problem
