Whats goin on guys. Iam lookin to move from the honda scene into the nissan drift scene. I currently am lookin around for a daily driver aka. a newer 240sx.
Basically here is what iam asking: I would like to know if it is smart to modify the 240sx I will be using for daily driving. I plan on getting a early 90's 240sx for real drift purposes, but I mainly want to silvia the shit out the of daily. Iam just lookin for opinions for what I should do. SHould I hook up the daily, until iam good and really, as well as finacially stable before i start getting into the drift compatition? You input would be greatly appreciated.

Well you're looking in the right direction because only 240s can drift.

lol. What i would like to do for my daily would be to SR20DET blacktop swap it, LSD rear, Silvia front end conversion, lowering, rims, paint. Nothing more then that really. I dont really plan on drifting this car except just for kicks.

Guess il be MR.serious, if you wanna drift, keep your daily stock, shit dont even get a 240 for a daily NOW, build you drift car once you have it set up good to go(how ever you want) then get a daily 240 to play with and mod, what do you drive now? if its a honda KEEP IT AS A DAILY!!! seriousy, build the drift car first so you will have something to play with while you save to make the bad ass daily... rather then a bad ass daily with nothing to play with... good luck

Keep your daily, and use the money to build a nice drift car. By "nice" I mean suspension and power, not pretty paint and aero. That comes after you ran out of other stuff to buy or make.
fuck that!
i daily drove my drift car for 4 years!
totaled it 2 times and popped numerous tires on the way to / while at work!
dont be a pussy!

driving drift cars around as your daily gets realy old
hundreds of diffrent noises, your 2 way in the back is screaming at part throttle, things are vibrating in the back that will not shut up, going through tires every month because of camber wear and 2 way lsd, you hit somthing and your rocking a primer fender for a year, why even spend a shit load of money on a paint job your going to get all fucked up then your stuck driving a car thats 3 colors. i could go on.
i wouldnt do it anymore, but for a first timer its good practice

If you are going from the "honda scene" to the drifitng scene. Keep a good car as a daily driver, because if you screw up your dd trying to screw around and drift it when you are especially used to ff then you want to have soemthing dependable to use to get you where you need to go. Also why is it you are looking at 240's? Trust me I love the s chasis for drifting... its sexy as hell, but what is making you leave the honda scene to go to that? If you don't mind me asking.

So should i stick with the honda scene for daily driver and then build a drift car?

I think that depends on if you want to drive your honda daily or not.
