I can get a good deal on 4 cvr 10's in a custom box. My question is, I have a JL 500/1 amp, will that b enough power to push the 4 tens? the tens are 4 ohm

That wont be enough for those subs. You will be under powering them so much. Each sub is 400 watts rms. you would need an amp at atleast 1600 watts rms to run those correctly without underpowering them. Are they 2 or 4 ohm DVC?

Agreed on the divider and the underpower. This is too much woofer for no dividers. Seems to me the sound would be very muddy and not very responsive. In my experience, these Kickers need a pretty tight seal to keep from self destruction (people tend to throw too much power at them though). As far as power, I agree on a true 1600W amp or a couple of 800w amps. We sell this setup alot and run a good 600 to 800w amp when installing a pair and it always sounds pretty good. Again, I prefer a sealed box (tighter kick drum bass) or a single center vented box (rap type thundering rolling bass response).
