Started a 1994 toyota supra TT

Took delivery tonight starting the process tommorow after work probably going to work late in the night. Guy gave me 2 weeks to finish as he is out of town so This is going to be one bad a$% supra.... PICS as i go will be available on this thread

Sunday: Removed the wing,mirrors,and front lip, wong and mirrors are set for paint tommorow or tuesday during my lunch break.... Also sanded hood down and found out one of the cracks in the paint is actually bondo that has cracked due to poor prep took all the bodo out and redid it (the right way)lol... MONDAY: Coudnt do too much was quite busy at the shop but sanded the mirrors and wing... Got off work and it was pouring tommorow is another day. Guy is out of town till the 27th no rush pics of wing and mirrors to come

Wednesday: during 1st break primed wing and mirrors, Attempted to paint the mirrors and my nightmare of single stage came to life, as soon as i put the base coat where there wasnt any primer it wrinkled :( so with the mirrors back to square 1 except this time prime the whole mirror and prep again during tommorow... ON A GOOD NOTE the wing came out gorgeous (wasnt painted single stage anytime in its life) i knew when i 1st started sanding it was single stage but i had hoped it was a PPG or Dupont single stage nope it was ecconos or maccos and screwed me lol.... couldnt do anything after work on the car was scheduled for primer but its raining...http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x111/jlmaxima1/102_1992.jpghttp://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x111/jlmaxima1/102_1990.jpg

no, i love me that stock body. I cleared the headlights yesterday. 2 hours of sanding. Jason is gonna go over them again with the buffer. and he is going to fix the front lip aswell. he has some skills. lol

Saturday progress lol Not much intermitent rain lol or the lazyness i took pics of the befores...
Sundays plan is take off the mirrors,wing,lip,and sparkplug protector on the valve cover as i am going to paint it as a extra for him... then sand on the it somewhat of a full day Scheduled for paint of the main body on saturday different pieces during the week in my free time at work

lol not so much anymore its prepped and ready set for spray tommorow 8am ... let me tell you its been a nightmare turned out that the rear and front bumper hatch targa and mirrors were done with a uncatalyzed single stage AKA(macco.econo) which if your a painter means its going to wrinkle and lift as soon as the solvent from your base hits it BAD....left me with 2 options charge austin alot more and strip it and delay the paint,,,nope not that... or use a waterbourne primer which is what i did 1 gallon only 58.00 and just to make sure im going to use it as a wet on wet sealer as well tommorow to make sure nothing goes wrong .... other then that everything is gravy no more pealing fading or anything.... LET THIS BE A LESSON MACCO AND ECONO ARE NOT WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN THIS SUPRA SHOULD BE A GOOD EXAMPLE FOR YOU

Props to you for being a good guy, and not charge Austin more money. Most shops would have said fuck it, lets make more money.
