View Full Version : Am I doing this wrong? (Exhaust tips)

Well I spent about 20 minutes with some eagle one nano-polish (followed the instructions to a T) rubbing the crap on one of my exhaust tips (they were showing some wee surface cancer spots) to almost no effect whatsoever.

I used a foam applicator pad to put it on, a clean microfiber cloth to rub it in, and a clean terrycloth towel to remove the excess. This had almost no effect.

Is there something Im missing? Or is it just an elbow grease thing?

(by the way, this was 20 minutes on one tip, just on the top side)

try steel wool to remove the harsh rust like spots, then go over with the polish, just make sure its the FINEST steel wool.

don use the pad to polish. just use your bare fingers.

What type of metal are the tips? I might be able to point you in the direction of a good polish or cleaner.
