Rims

So I know many do not have this but some of us do, from owners before us to just buying used... im talking about beat up rims, scuff marks, the rough abrasive concret slammed edges, curby loving rims....

the question is, if i were to want to get my rims powder coated... or plain painted.... how would i go with repairing.... as is you fix a bumper with bondo or whatever you please... what do you fix a rim with....

depends on whether or not you are going to have them anodized, powdercoated or painted and depends on the metal itself. are they polished aluminum or cast. if they are polished i can tell you from personal experience that powder doesnt stick too well, anodizing is the way to go. as for finishing off the chewed up edge, start off with 320 grit paper and knock down the rough stuff, finish it with 600. becareful not to leave flatspots and work around the whole wheel. if you powder coat just leave it but if you anodize the wheels should be polished
