View Full Version : my positve experience at DC

Now this is just my experience. As a customer.

I have been through the ringer with my car. 3 shops, 4 other people that "helped me" and more money than I ever should have spent on an integra. I could have bought a lotus in cash by now with all the money I have spent over the last 2 years.

The last shop my car was at was having some serious client service issues and I was nervous about things getting worse, not to mention my car had been there for 7 mo without much going on with it.

I placed a few calls to DC and Ian and his staff kinda came to my rescue. They went and liberated my car and brought it back to their shop(which is really really nice). They then went over it with a fine tooth comb to find out what was worng with it and the list was extensive.

I had to reevaluate what I wanted the car to be and if I wanted to continue with it or scrap the whole thing. I was totally disenchanted with the whole thing becuase of the time/energy/money put into it. Especially after they told what I needed to do to get it right. Read not cheap.

Ian was supportive and would have helped me go in any direction, including selling the car which I really did but didnt want to do.
He gave me a bunch of options and helped me figure out something that would fit my budget,

Well i decided to man up and give them the go ahead to do what needed to be done. I had reservations in the back of my mind because of all the other promises that had been made and broken by other places.

They gave me a detailed qoute, and some suggestions on what needed to be done so I could have the car the way i envisioned in my little head.

And then a magic thing happened I started to see progress, in a day or 2 the engine was out, the bay was repainted, the parts were ordered and things were happening. Plus they called me and told me what was going on.

I am impressed at how they really take time to figure out what I was looking for, and they listened and made suggestions and really treated me nicely. Now it may have been because I spent a few hundred dollars with them, cause I am baller like that but i doubt it.

Ian and his staff seem like class people. For every 1 negative story a shop has there are probably 20 successes that never get talked about, so I just wanted to post up and say Thanks. I appreciate it.

If you were at the DC open house mine was the blue/silver stripped teggy on the lift.

Dc is cool folks, find out for your self. I am glad as hell I called them.

uyht,

I saw your car there before. Im glad everything turned out great for you.
You're right, Ian and everyone at DC seem like great people always willing to help
I have my supra there now getting work done and the folks there have been always friendly and helpful and I cant wait to see the results.

Most people will publicly tell you their bad experiences with a buisness but rarely ever share their good experiences

This has been a rock solid experience. Like any project of this smallish scope there have been delays here and there but DC has been up front about them and communicates very well. They took what i had envisioned in my head and made it a reality. I am so excited I can barely wait. If you are looking for a shop for your car i do not think you can go wrong with the fellas at DC. Except for ians brother..........he is a little strange. j/k :)

hey that integra looks great, i bet that thing is gonna ride out when its finished. Are you going to put the stock bumper back on, or modify it in someway, or is the air filter just going to point down like that behind the bumper?

Really nice work, and the exhaust system looks like pure sex.

uyht
12-01-2007, 02:52 PM
its not a stock bumper thats on it now, it has a body kit. but the next thing to do is jdm front end and paint the biatch.

manifoldmike
12-01-2007, 04:12 PM
well, it fits with the bumper on it currently. i'm thinking it should be fine with a stock bumper, but i would have to fit one to know for sure. if i have to modify it in the future, its not a big deal.

probably the biggest filter i've ever put on a car. its the new aem dry filter. i usually get paranoid about loss of power with filter, especailly on a turbo setup like this, but we shouldn't have any problems with it.

i've seen power loss of 40~60whp on 400whp+ cars with incorrect filters.

Well if he's going JDM type-r the core support has to be changed also...

Well if he's going JDM type-r the core support has to be changed also...

the only thing well have to do is drill one hole in the core support were the intercooler bolts up. shouldn't be a big deal.

just got back from DC. I am Continually impressed by them. the work looks great and they sat me down and talked about all kinds of stuff. They rock. Good people who dont try and pressure you just advise you and let you make the decisions. Plus they get shit done. To this point I am totally satisfied.
