i have a question.

I have done plenty of body work with body and dent rollers/removers.

but i have never learned how to weld on new rear quater panels.

what temp. is best for the weld.

are there any write ups or anything to help me learn how to do it right?

i dont wnat to see a hudge weld line either.

my buddy just did one at school... but as for the temp its just the thickness of the metal it should have a chart on the welder i think its 18 or 20 gauge for most newer cars but im not positive.. good luck man!

its a process but it can be done, i have done atleast 50+ quater replacements, but there are pretty strict guidelines that should be followed, and certain areas to Section in. what are these going on?

oh so its just the lower section, i was thinking full qtr replacement, best thing to do is measure it out, trim it so it fits nice, then butt weld it, er tack weld it till you have a solid line all the way, then you can grind the welds and apply filler.
