There seems to be negative feelings geared towards Driven Concepts here lately. No shop can have a 100% positive feedback, but every shop strives to. We are all humans therefore we make mistakes. We take our mistakes and try to better ourselves/our shop. We, at Driven Concepts, are here for you, our customers. I feel that we have a dedicated team to serve our customers. Every shop will always have them few customers that you can not please no matter how hard you try. We do our best to satisfy the customer and to fix the problem they may have. Before judging the shop from hear-say and rumors, we welcome you to come by the shop. We will give you a tour of our facilities and show you the work our shop is capable of doing. I am sure you will be quite pleased with the work you will see. So if you need work done, drop by and lets talk and see what we can do to assist you with any needs you may have. Before judging us, give us a chance then you have the right to judge us for yourself. Hope to see you soon. :)

Clint

Side note: I did not post this up to start a debate. I posted this for the ones who may have heard negative things about Driven Concepts and are debating about coming here. Like I stated above. Stop on by and let me give you a tour of the shop. Seeing is believing...:)

i'm fairly new to this shop and the area. i've been with 4 other shops before this. i'm pretty specialized, so i usually have some options. i signed on with driven without looking at any other shops because i like the people. there arn't many shops that have an honest leader with a good staff to back. we have some talented guys and big ideas.

i see a lot of good things that can happen and i'm trying my best to help. there are a lot of changes happening and they are all for the better.

if you are in the market for some good work and good people, be sure to give us a try.

good call clint.

I don't think it is how long the shop has been around, but it is the dedication, knowledge, and craftsmanship that builds a shop's reputation. I feel the work we put out at Driven Concepts is just as good, if not better, than the other shops that have been around for years.

I can't agree with you guys more.

Look, I'm not trying to blow smoke up any one's Ass here nor brown nose kuz I want something that they have (kuz They don't ;) ),.............. But Being an Outsider and also formally owning my own Aftermarket parts retail business for 3 years, I can Vouch with the stress that Owners and Employees face in a business market such as Driven Concepts.

It sounds like a fun and relaxed place to work for, But if your against a time line to get something finished for a customer, Then not everything physically works to the Employee's expectation and something breaks, or wears out from prior use and/or abuse, This is something that has to be accounted for when giving a time or price estimate.
Shit happens and sometimes it's out of every one's control.

What people/customers don't usually realize, ..... is that what business seen from the customers side of the counter and via Phone only rates at 20%- of what actually goes on behind the scenes in a shop like DC.

Unfortunately A Successful Business can't be run by only one person, There are to many responsibilities that happen day in and day out to run
1) legally !!!
2) make enough money to pay it's employees and keep them happy.
3) Make enough money to constantly have stock on the walls (Regardless of what many have heard, That stuff doesn't come free from the distributor) so that the product can be purchased that second instead of waiting for it to be shipped in.
4) keep customers happy and drive business & respect from potential customers
5) Keep a large selection of suppliers on hand in case the first distributor doesn't have the item needed in stock to make the customer happy.
6) Make enough money to pay the light bill & other shop expenses .
7) Make enough money for the owner to want to keep the business open, That alone is one of the largest burdens for owning a store front.
8) Etc. Etc. Etc.

There needs to be a team effort given from every employee individually to make things run smooth.

I have read 2 or more posts in the past few months explaining how Dc didn't work to the customers expectations.
Unfortunately DC has different guidelines to work from/against because for instance....... Lets say Bobby Joe's Garage down the street has 10 customers one day.

9 Customers walk out of the business with 100% customer satisfaction.
The 10th customer gets pissed because Bobby Joe does something not to 100% satisfaction (Customer expectations), How is that 10th customer going to get out to the public that he's angry with this shop and everyone should boycott the business? He's not!!! Because it'll take wasted time out of his life to stand on a street corner and protest, Also.... Who is going to look at him seriously since he's just 1 out of a million customers that has given the company business, You don't hear or see anyone else picketing with him.

Now, Let's stand in Driven Concepts shoes, If that 10th unsatisfied customer wants to get his story out and boycott the shop, All he has to do is waste 3 minutes on Tamparacing.com and talk E-Shit.
Then, Because he has loyal friends (that also have TR accounts) They chime in and bash the shop too, And It's a friggen downward spiral from there ...... Then what happens next?............ DC has a bad name because of one person and the power of TampaRacing (which is where probably more then 70% of DC's Business comes from). :nono:

It's Not fair for a customer to expect the world from a company like DC, Then only receive 9/10ths of the world and bitch that there is still 1/10th missing.

I'd love to see some of these "Kids" come in a shop like DC one day and try to keep everything under control.
Hey, That sounds like a great Idea for a Reality TV Show

Anyway, I could go on and on about this topic.............................. But I won't.

Long story short, I have much respect for Driven Concepts, The Owner, and all of it's staff.
I have seen them beat down verbally, Business Broken into a few times, Other distributors screwing them over, and money lost, But still they get up....dust them selves off, and continue doing what They have a passion to do...... Work on Vehicles, Create new Projects, Impress Customers and Other shops, and still make money to pay their bills and live the American Way.

Now, When you want to throw stones next time DC doesn't meet your expectation right off the bat, Step in their shoes for a minute and realize that your not the only one on their Priority list.... Even though they treat you like you are :)

I say this because I've been there a few times & They treated me like Gold each visit (, I bought parts from them that were cheaper then if I were to buy off line,....Plus They had the stuff in stock!!!, They have been around for quite a while compared to many other shops, And they have a great reputation in the TR community.

I can only wish my old business was as successful as DC has been.

So Anyway,..........Peace Out, Good Luck, and Stay True.... Driven Concepts!!!

Thank you for the kind words.:) Being a customer first at DC then a employee, I NEVER knew how much went into running a shop.:-o I'm sure every person that is in love with the import scene at one time or another dreamed of owning their own shop, I know I have.;) but after working at DC and seeing all that is involved in running a shop, it's not a walk in the park like I expected. There is soooooo much involved in running a shop. We are always on the phone calling around finding the best prices we can offer to our customers, locating parts, new and used, keeping up with shop supplies and getting the parts our techs need to complete a job, dealing with happy and unhappy customers and so on. It can be a mad house at times.:crack: In the end, It's all worth it. We would much rather see a happy customer than a upset one.:D It's our goal to have nothing but happy customers leave our shop. I would like to thank everyone who has supported DC and the ones to come. We are here for "YOU".....:)
