Default need some help with my 95 5.0

ok, i have a 95 5.0 auto vert. it was running fine when i got it. no problems. i put on bbk headers, o/r h pipe, flow masters with dumps, platium 2 plugs, and ford racing wires. when i started it up i had an exhaust leak on the driver side. ( not really a big deal). i drove it around for about a day. my gas was pretty low so i put it a few dollars, it started raining and i drove home. as soon as i left the gas station the car started hesitating when i started to go and sputtered. when i step on the gas and get on it, it is fine. but when i just go normally it does it. also sometimes when it idles at stop lights it sounds like it has a cam. but not always. im not sure what it would be. fuel filter? cap and rotor? im not sure. please help me

so after reading some other forums i think i have narrowed it down to fuel filter, cap and rotor, or o2 sensors..

I am not tryin to flame you but think about this, seriously! It was running fine, you change the plugs and wires now you have a problem. I would go double check that before I start thinking other parts. Maybe a plug wire is half on and not really making a good contact. Double check that first.

no, all of it was checked. yes, i replaced it because the car has 100k on it and the wires were neer changed, or at least didnt look like it. its all just basic maintance that i did besides the headers.

Well with 100k on the clock it probably does need a cap and rotor. And the fuel filter wouldn't hurt either. All those parts are cheap and can be installed in about 20 minutes. And 15 of those minutes would be changing the fuel filter just cause you have to jack the car up.

Could be bad gas too... and how low was the fuel level before you filled up? Sometimes, alot of times, there is a buch of trash that sort of hangs out at the bottom of the tank, if you fill it up when it's very low, some of that trash tries to make it's way through the system...filters and lines..

I hope you figure it out....a shitty running car is worse than a nagging wife.....

UPDATE.. i did the fuel filter and put on a msd cap and rotor. it runs smootheer but still is having the same problem. so i am hoping it is the 02 sensor.

* when i extended the sensor i soldered an extra foot of wire on each. wrapped the in electrical tape and then in heat wrap.
