Its talking about how the gov. is spending to much money. And how if nothing changes, their will be none left by 2040. It's not some crazy either. It's a actual gov. employee. No one really disagrees with him either apparently. The ones that do, have the thought that America will grow out of the over spending.

It's why we shouldn't vote for a politician pushing socialized anything. This is not Nazi Germany. Every politician dances around this issue except for Ron Paul. He wants to get rid of unnecessary government programs, a war that is driving the country into debt faster than ever, and restore the value of the dollar among many other things. People could invest the equivalent of SS, medicare and income taxes into intrest bearing accounts, stocks, bonds, t-bills, property, etc. and retire EARLIER and RICHER. The government has been babying it's citizens for a long time and it's time to stop. Watch the video if you don't believe me. I dare you

^ is obviously not a poli-sci or econ major.
But i agree. i am in control of my financial future for just this reason. i've squared with the fact that i'm never going to collect social security, even though i've been paying into it since i was 14.
that being said; we need those types of gov't programs to take care of those who can't take care of them selves, like the elderly, handicap, children, the unemployable ect.
maybe you have a skewed understanding of what universal health care is all about, and how many countries are improved because of it. this might make your understanding a little clearer:
"The term Socialized Medicine is used to describe a system of publicly administered national health care. This system can range from programs in which the government runs hospitals and health organizations to programs in which there is national universal health care. Although, these programs are often associated with communist run countries, every Western Country except the United States has some form of socialized medicine. England has had a socialized program since 1948. That year, the country passed the National Health Service Act, which provided free physician and hospital services for all citizens. Recently, the program has been amended to include small fees for doctor services; however, the concept is still intact."
Socialized Medicine (http://jmchar.people.wm.edu/Kin493/socmed.html)
the long and short of it is that the government doesn't believe that they can handle the overtaking of such a change because of the policy implications and consequences that instating socializing health care brings.
i'm for the american version of socialized health care. this is our chance to show the world that we can perfect something other than american muscle cars. BTW i'm not a nazi, but members of my extended family were killed in the holocaust.

Great to know that someone wants everything that is purchased as well as their wages taxed even more to pay for other people's health care. What is so bad about US health care? It's good?

Beyond this I can tell you like to read wikipedia, so here you go:
"Adolf Hitler (20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) was Chancellor of Germany in 1933, and Führer from 1934 to 1945. He led the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, the Nazi Party).
He gained power during Germany's period of crisis after World War I. He used propaganda and charismatic oratory, emphasizing nationalism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Communism."

well i'm not surprised at your response to tell you the truth. Glen Beck is a moron. period, i'm just not going to get into a pissing match over which talking head is the most offensive and least informed tonight. all i cared to do was state my opinion and give information to support it, and i did.
In the american tradition, we will just have to be happy to agree to disagree.
and in response to post #10;
why the wikipedia report on Hitler? did you not read any of what i wrote? i wasn't talking about turning america into socialist society or hitler for that matter. i'm jewish, members of my fam were stolen from austria and killed in the holocaust. i've been to college, i've studied history. i've taken semester long classes on the subject. what's the point of giving me hitler's bio?

If no pissing contest you want to enter, then why the name calling? I feel that since LBJ (democrat) exasperated the Fed. Res. ability to simply print more money to make up short fall, I can not will not trust the party. Michael Moore's main point in his newest film is that other countries that have socialized or universal healthcare, are "better" than the US. If the people are not currently happy with government programs, which I am not, WHY GIVE THEM ONE MORE THING TO MESS UP?!? The video that was originally posted says it all "Catastrophic consequences for our country". People are ignoring the fact that it is this election they can change the tailspin and inevitable "greater" depression that is closing in on us. Democrats have to realize that the money has to come from somewhere and that somewhere is the people's pockets. John Edwards even acknowledged that. To not see this, a person must be blind.
Although, these programs are often associated with communist run countries
haha n/m, you quoted a website in response to my statement. I thought it was original thought.

all he is basically saying is our bills are bigger then our income and we either need MORE income or less bills. Being as he is the countrys head accountant Id heed his warnings. The actual man in the video seems to have no agenda other then saving the economic position of our country.

Even 20/20 will tell you Michael Moore is more full of shit than he leads on to be about socialized healthcare and how good it is.

Alan Greenspan's book (http://www.amazon.com/Age-Turbulence-Adventures-New-World/dp/1594201315/ref=pd_ts_b_1/104-0206209-3682308?ie=UTF8&s=books) comes out tomorrow - should be awesome! He offers up an economic forecast about how he thinks the world (America included) will be working out in the year 2030...he'll be dead by then - we should all still be here...
