Default '92 Coupe EFI 427W project.

Bought this car last August and have been dumping money in to it ever since. It is a '92 coupe that was originally a 4 cylinder. I bought it through a member here and it has a h/c/i 302 in it. I have since added the following
  • Eibach drag launch springs with airbag
  • Strange 10 way struts/shocks
  • Maximum motorsports full length subframes
  • Maximum motorsports strut tower brace
  • Welded torque boxes
  • '95 8.8 with 5 lug discs, 3.73 gears, 31 spline axles
  • Powerslot 5 lug front rotors
  • 15x3.5 and 15x8 Prostars with skinies and 275/50x15s
  • Aluminum Driveshaft
  • Pro3i upper/lower control arms
  • Glenns performance 950hp fuel system with street sleeper sumped tank, 2xWalbro 255lph inlines, Aeroquip fuel lines, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, UPR fuel rails.
  • Kaenen 3" hood
In the worksI have purchased everything already and Rick at RNH is currently working on the longblock assembly. I am having some anxiety over the eBay Procomp heads. I purchased them as a low cost option because I just wanted to see if they would meet my needs. If not, I would dump them and pay for something else. Then I heard Greg at XSR had some experience and good results porting them, so I have far more money in them than I probably should. Chad of newwebsite did my fuel system and will be doing the engine install as well. I currently have a stock T5 which will be replaced with another manual transmission early next year or whenever it grenades. Not sure if it will be a TKO or a T56 yet.

This will be a street car that sees the track a couple of times per year. Should be 450+ at the wheels. Nitrous is on the distant horizon, possibly late next year.

Forgot to list that I bought a 3" Kaenen hood from Chad earlier this year. Great product from what has so far been the best person I have ever dealt with in working on one of my cars.

Thanks for all the compliments. Not sure if I will ultimately keep it silver or not. Paint on it right now is crappy single stage that looks ok in the pictures but in person is a dull finish.

Chad has been great. Greg, well ultimately, as long as the heads perform at the level he says they flow then its all good. He continually failed to meet his own timeframes and repeatedly left me wondering what was going on, was hard to get a hold of by phone or email. When he finally did get my heads shipped back to me, a rocker stud was lost in transit through a hole in the box, and despite his promise x3 to get me a replacement, I have never seen it. Overall, not a real fresh feeling when I spent over $1600 with him.
