Depends, I guess. If you want a 12, that only weighs 17 lbs, handles 5000 watts, and has 36mm of legitimate Xmax, its about the only game in town. The fact that it also scored better than any other sub tested by Car Audio, is a bonus.

While the suggested retail is $2k, based on cost, I would expect most places to sell this woofer in the area of what 13W7's go for (retail) and it has more xmax, higher power handling, and according to Car Audio, better sound quality.

And they get loud...another dealer has 2 of them, on 10,000 watts, and does 154db. That's about what John with the Astro does on 16 FI 12's, at the same power.

We're going to put one in the Escalade, on one of the new Sundown 3000's, so we'll see.

a 13W7 is what i just put in the Jetta, and it hits pretty good, its hits just as hard as my 15's did, i think it hits harder but im not sure, i like the cleanness out of the sub, the bass is crisp and clear, i dont think i could spend 2g's on one sub

Actually, its more my driver now. Wife got a 300C. I also just bought a 53 Merc lead sled. Lexus and Caprice are up for sale. Too many projects :cool:
