Start with the mods i have a VF39 deatschwerks 565 cobb spec injecors and STI TMIC with the cobb VF39 map...Alright well i put a walbro 255 in yesterday because i plan to get protuned here in the next couple of days and when i started the car up the CEL came on gave me a code (P0183) but turned the car back off, then turned it back on and the code went away...so i thought no worries...well i went for a little test run to see if everything was cool and seemed ok then i got on it and thats when i started to feel the car start to hesitate especially when i started to reach higher RPMs.
So i was wondering if it was because of the base map thats on the car and just need a protune or could something have gone wrong during the installation (which is more than likely it)...so if anyone could help me that would be great

It would help to know what the code was...
Did you do any logs? Very possible that the hesitation you felt was det...tread lightly until you get it figured out.

fuel pump install is a pretty straightforward deal... its almost plug n play so i dont think that would be it...
one way to check it would be to pull the fuel pump up outta the trunk a few inches and turn your key to the on position and look for leaks.. just dont have a cigarette in your mouth. :)

ya it would really help if you had the code number! my walbro pump install was simple and easy!!! no problems here.....
wonder what it could be..... i dont think you have to prime the pump.... since the pump is empty id say let the car run some gas thru the pump.... you might have some air bubbles in the line, im guessing!

if you got the cel with the pump you might want to pull the code. more than likely it's the seal around the lid to the pump. the tank gets pressurized and the system can tell. you'd get the same cel if your gas cap wasn't on all the way.
go to autozone or advanced and as to use their obd scanner.

hmm... have you tried resetting the car by taking the negative on the battery off? if that doesn't do it, you might want to pull it back apart and make sure everything is still ok.
