And now my hp #'s will be getting bigger...
My local tech garrett takes my car sunday night...
He's installing-
Perrin Rotated GT 35 R .82 turbo kit
Coolingmist Trunk Mount Meth injection (varicool controller)
Power enterprise 850's
Perrin Fuel Rails
Exedy stage 2 cerametalic clutch
Act streetlite flywheel
some plugs, some water wetter
and then she'll need a tune...
Im psyched...looking forward to having a decently fast subaru demo car in the near future :)

do you have a built block?
-faded-
08-11-2007, 09:45 AM
the block will last a little while with low boost and a good tune.

yea but whats the point of having a 35r with meth to run low boost?
speaking of im starting to build a block soon its gonna be a little different then the average

nope, not yet, i can get a spare whenever.
and is a little while more then 10 months? we have another customer going 10.80's on a completely stock motor with the same setup...hmmm
(i hardly drive the car so im going to push the stocker, then get a new block and build it on the side)

youll be fine for a little while if you dont beat the car all the time.

yes, i will be fine for a little while, the whole purpose of the car is just to show what you can do with a subaru locally. i drive it for like...mmm 20 minutes a week? so i doubt ill have problems. but if i do, i buy a new built motor and have an excuse to throw some cams in :)

yes sir! i drop the car off to my mechanic garrett sunday night...so i'll take it for its last rides today/tomorrow because i wont see her for about 1-1.5 weeks between install/tuning....
i told him to take all the time he wants on it, as he has a week to do the work and none of it will be rushed, not many people around these parts have meth injection, so why not test it on my car (the install that is) looking forward to seeing some results... 430-460 whp should be safe on the street map...

youll hit those #s just fine with the 35r and meth. i was doing that with my fp green and meth.
its best they take their time with a build like that. you dont want anything rushed when you are dropping that amount of cash

not much of a build...more like a bolt on ;) hehe

speaking of im starting to build a block soon its gonna be a little different then the average
as an engine builder/designer, I'm curious what you are thinking of doing...?

haha we have had more then our share of high hp customers with exedy stage 2 clutches...for over a year of abuse...i'd be willing to make a nice bet that an act 6 puck sprung that you guys all get craps out before the exedy cerametallic stage 2. its been taking 540whp for 10 months now...hmm
(disclaimer...i never said it was easier to drive or as smooth as an act 6 puck sprung....but for raw holding power...FTW!)

exedy owns all clutches. i hate ACT. i did have the SPEC clutch in my suby and it wasnt bad. gave out quick though, i believe Snomann had the same issue with his SPEC. i couldnt afford the exedy at the time or i would have got one
ImportImageRacing
08-12-2007, 02:24 PM
haha spec and act...thats a good one...
act makes great products...
spec clutches contain act parts :) so its sort of like saying a honda is different then an acura...
proven very much so when the 06 wrx clutches first came out, and spec magically didnt have anything til act released their clutches hehe

man...you guys have it easy on clutches...
my carbonetics twin plate set me back a bit even with my R&D deal discount...haha

08-12-2007, 02:31 PM
yep, i was going to go twin plate, but wanted something most people would use and can afford (over time of course)
throwing in a twin carbon clutch...would have been a little over the top.
