Default Damn Clutch Cables

snapped my 3rd one tonight driving home. I heard it click good going into 3rd then again going into 4th. I drove a few miles home getting all green lights until Belcher Road and Gulf To bay. The light was red and I popped it outta 4th. I get in the left turning lane the light turns green and BAM the damn cable snapped in half and landed next to my foot. So I'm sitting there I put my hazards on and everyone is honking. They finally go around and the light turns red. Then a tow truck pulls up to me. I get out and ask him if he could just give me a good push to the corner lot. He says Ill do better puts his truck in front of my car and puts in on in no time. Towed me about 300 feet to the alberstons parking lot which then I awaited AAA.... Big Rep to AIM Towing. His name was Manny he helped me out a bunch and he didn't have to do shit.

So I think the UPR quadrant are taking them out. Seems to be rubbing on the end of it. Gonna ditch it and try something else. Hopefully Gearhead has something in stock.

MY UPR sucked as well. It broke in a year or so. I bought a steeda, but I haven't used it yet. I had FRPP for awhile, then I forgot to take it off when I junked the car.

Now was this a OEM cable or a UPR quadrant and cable?

I have a UPR triple hook and cable sitting at my house if you need it/ or want it.

OEM cable and Steeda adjuster/quadrant here. Never one problem.

OEM is expensive but worth it. My '84 is on the original cable. 23-years and approx 142k miles later and it is still working well. Of course now that I say that the f-ing cable will break on me.
