Well, I have been asked to update everyone on my GS300 project. Well, let's start from the beginning.......and walk through what has happened in the past 10 month! The ONLY thing that has NOT been done at Driven Concepts is the actual upholstry portion of the vehicle.

Among the pictures you will see all the different parts that we have considered, tried, placed on the car, removed, etc.....you get the picture. Even the actual color of the car has been changed up a couple of times.

A small update - the transmission finally arrived and we finally got it installed. Running the Boost Logic transmission and a 2800 stall TQ. As you can see, there's a custom built transmission oil pan, enabling high fluid capacity.

The car will run with this tranny setup for a while, the only other thing that's on order is an ARC tranny cooler kit.

For those that wonder why it has taken this long for the project to get to where it is....well here's a picure of my water neck. It has not been completed 100%, still needs to be polished back down, but you can see that we are running all AN fittings, and just about anything that we can drill and tap, we have!

I will be running 4 Alpine Type R 12s. I am not too much into stereo, but since this will represent me at car shows, we are going all out. All air space have been correctly measured, the subs in this particular box will not be inverted like the picture, but you guys have an idea what it can look like. First off, sorry guys for the MILLION pictures, just clicked on the link and it took forever to load!

We have two in house fabricator as of right now, Danny and Mike, they are both pretty damn good at what the do. Honestly, I never really paid attention to exhaust welds, but when I was taking pictures of the midpipe, I couldn't help myself to notice the shitty welds on the JIC product either.

OK guys..lol.. everything is removable and actually they are put all together like a big puzzle. first amp racks then side pieces( false floor pieces on the sides) then amps mounted in place..(after the wiring is done of course) then amp cover..then two front subs then left sub then right sub. hope that clears things up...lol...

Yes, Jay has done some great work on the car, so has Danny (welder/fabricator), Tom (mechanic), Chris (painter/stereo), etc. Everyone at the shop has some what, some how touched the car in some way. This is truely a project that has brought out a lot talent from everyone.

what are you talking about? jay didn't weld any piping besides the mid pipe on that car. we don't have a mig thats aluminum and everything is hand welded.

some of the welds on the intercooler piping were done hot and sloppy because they were going to get grinded off.

that was the one part that jay did weld (if your refering to the ss tig on the midpipe). turned out great.

sorry, you post was sort of confusing. there is a y-pipe in the intercooler piping as well.
