For the 20 people that showed up, it was a great event.
It rained on us just before the event and stayed overcast and cooler than normal for the rest of the day.
Good course and I hear some people had 12 runs. We ran one event in the morning and then changed the course and ran a seperate event for the afternoon.
I am sure Barry will post results soon. Thanks to everyone who helped out at the event.
Thanks for Beebo and gang for letting me take a couple of laps in the Cobalt, and to Alann G for letting me drive the MINI Cooper S.
See you at the next event,

Sorry I wont have the results up till this weekend. I left for MD at 7 Am this morning. Sooo all the results are home..
I guess I need to ask for a vote. Do we use the best time of the day for every one? Or divide the day up to 2 sperate events?
Thoughts?

As much as I would have enjoyed being there being in Chicago with 3 days of no rain, temps only 79 to 80 degrees and nights around 60 degrees ... well yea I enjoyed it a bit more ;)
From what I heard from the Vivek man it was a course I would have enjoyed running.

Thanks to Keith for putting in so much effort on this one.
We should name that turn around, how about "Keith's Burning Ring of Fire".
Burning Ring of TIRE?
It was totally worth going to see an antique mini do burn outs.
I really think you have to look at it as 2 events because of the change in the course. The only other fair way I could think of is to Add together your two best times.
Hi BAM, Let use know here when the results are posted.
I worked the afternoon and didn't get to look over the times.
I'm pretty sure L.D. held on tightly to that FTD.
He was driving so well that I thought he was going to pass me on the parade lap :)

Ill put it up as 2 events.. but adjust points so they are about 1/2 rounded up.. for each portion..
Since we track all the points on the BMW side for end of the year awards.

no problem keith, anytime. actually i'd like to ride with you in my car next time. it was a very humbling experience when you shaved 2 seconds off my time on your first run, and it was starting to rain again. btw, how did you do on the rev it up thing.

I will be happy to help out and ride with other people as long as I have time for it and am not working on getting ready for some other event.
Beebo - I missed the top 25 cut. I was 33rd out of 1166. Like all of these events - you have to be almost perfect to do well. I am learning.
Thanks for your help,

Thanks BAM!
I can't write "BAM!" without the exclamation point.
That was one fast station wagon out there. I was not even close.
I can't believe it, but it still looks like I'm in the running for points,
Even though I missed 2 events (Stupid Mazda Transmissions).
Just gotta get Danny to stay at home playing his new Guitar

BAM - Thanks for all the hard work and for getting the results posted for us.
By the times posted - it looks like everyone did real well. Penny picked up some time in the afternoon session, by turning off the traction control in her M3.
FTD for the afternoon session was real close, with quit a few people being on the same second. Thanks to Alann Gross for letting me enjoy his stock MINI Cooper S, even on street tires - that car is awesome and easy to drive.
Make sure to register early for the next event and invite some others to come join in on the fun.
