I'm happy with my Sony H5. Has plenty of settings and what not, comes with a lense adapter, and for the most part, user friendly.

:D ...

Im not too sure how the olympus is but,

The Fujifilm Finepix S700 is your best bet...

It has 7.1 Megapixels | 10x zoom | lightweight | Looks like an SLR |

The screen on it is bigger than the screen on my Canon.

^ When you say "looks like a SLR" do you mean it just looks like it in appearence, or takes SLR quality photos? lol

Also do you know where I can find some examples of pictures taken by this camera? How user friendly is it? Does it require alot of messing around with, or can I just get right onto it and start shooting?

It both looks and performs like an SLR.

With the built in flash at the top, and the setting. And the 7.0 megapixels. Thats more than the Nikon D50.

Dont mega-pixel shop.

The fuji will take good pics, but dont compare it to an SLR.

dpreview.com has some great reviews.

that's all true....

That Fuji looks nice, I messed with a s5000 at Circuit City once, seemed nice, but a little awkward for some reason.

Also:

Sony's are kinda expensive and very exclusive (can only use their stuff).

Kodak is the epitome of user friendly and they have a new one out called the P712; it's considered a "super-zoom compact" with 12X zoom and 7.2MP. It's at Best Buy for around 3, another good choice.

That's the expanse of my knowledge, hope this helps...

You have to use their memory card, but as far as lenses, I can use different brands, thats what the adapter that comes with it (well came with my H5) is for.
