I have a '85 nissan truck. I believe it has an electrical problem. I doubt it is the battery since the door open buzzer things runs strong.


But could it be a fuse if none of the instrustments turn on when the key is turned.

or could it be the ingition assembly?


What could be the problems where I could pin point it down?

Also, I am going to double check the battery later....

 

Sounds like you're on the right track. Check the fuses and the battery connections. Check your grounds.

Could it be the starter solenoid? The starter doesn't even click or do anything so it couldn't be anything on the starter side.. Correct?

 

The battery could be stone cold dead. The buzzer draws no amperage, the starter draws a lot. You're over-complicating things. Don't pull apart your ignition switch, try a new battery first.

That's the spirit. I put my vote on a dead battery or bad wires between the battery and the car. If a new battery doesn't work, bust out a volt/ohm meter and check the impedance on your main hot and main ground. It's probably just a dead battery though. This Florida heat annihilates batteries.

Well I checked the batter and no such luck..

I also hit the starter to see if that would be a problem no luck there either..

I think there is some other problem because the guages don't even turn on.. Like the amp guage for the batter or anything like that...
