I never road down to San Diego. Where are these places you are speaking of? How far are they from LA?

Palomar mountain and telegraph canyon. both are about 45 minutes from mcas miramar. you can get to telegraph from the 805 and palomar from the 15. the weekends ride down to mission beach and pacific beach and you can usually find 50+ bikes every weekend

Thanks for the 411.

You take the 15 to the 76 for Palomar?

What road do you exit off the 805?

you take the 805 all the way down to the exit for telegraph canyon. you'll do some riding through about 10 lights if i remember correct then the lanes merge to one lane. once you get on the one lane road it's pretty much to the walls for a few miles until the first stop sign. when you get there take a right and you get some more twisties. there are 2 that have speed limit signs posted at 20mph. those are the only 2 that you have to do the speed limit cause they are really tight but other than that it's wide open throttle all the way. as for palomar it's 15 to 76 then when you get to the base of the mountain, at the split the left side is the technical side and if you go right its the fast side

Just curious, but why does everyone make such a big deal about posting road names? The cops already know about all these roads... it is not like they are secret or something. Hell, cops have been watching Patterson for years and a cop lives on Newberger.

well, hey, i'm new to TR, i didnt know that it was taboo to spill the beans. I found all those roads on my own though. Anyone with half a brain and access to google earth can find them too. But i guess thats a good test though. Filters out the lazy ones.

Naming road names is not an issue... its posting when & where you are going to be that the cops look out for...

They been getting the complaints for years... but in the past there was no internet for cops to search for events...

If you ride with a group of close friends, start up a private group like Yahoo & org your rides there...
