if you do this in the order i announce you will be fine.
from what i recall you have a fairly stock sr etc. 3 inch dp correct??
jack the car up and get 4 jackstands on there. i am assuming you know where to put them.
drain the tranny fluid
take the shifter out
remove clutch slave cylinder 15mm's i believe
remove the drive shaft ( 14mm from the rear pumpkin ) 17mm for the mounting bracket in the middle, then slide it out.
if u have another jack then proceeed to jack up the front of the motor, by doing this your motor\tranyn will tilt down, loosen the motor mounts if u can't get enough angle. deep 14 mm socket.
but the best way instead of what i mentioned just above. take a scissor jack and place it between your downpipe and the underchassis, doing this will also angle your tranyn down.
after this you should have some good angle, remove the tranny bolts. then bench press it off, wiggle it a little while removing it. since this is your first time i recommend u have someone with you.

I think he wants a little further explanation then that, Jonas.
He said take the 'transmission off the bell housing'
I am thinking he means he wants to disassemble the tranny itself, not only take if off of the car, so he can get to the internals to see what exactly his problem is.
He seems to have general car knowledge as he has built a car before, I think he just wants a slight walk thru of disassembly to make sure he is doing everything correctly and efficiently.
Which I will leave to you Jonas, As I assume you have more experience and could give a better explaination.

just take out the shift fork and input bearing, then take the bell housing off by removing the bolts that bolt it to the tranny box it'self, then there might be another plate you need to take off idk, if theres not you should be able to see inside it but your going to have to slide everything out. Most of the gears in a manual tranny are pressed in so dont try and pry at them. i have never opend a ka tranny but i've been in a couple other rwd manual trannys and they have all ben the same. oh ya drain the fluid

step 1. follow these instructions VERY carefully.
remove the 12mm bolts inside the tranny. there should be about 6\7 of them, that hold the casing that covers the bearings. after u remove the casing clean it off, get all the silicone off, and out of the grooves.
you should now see bearings. inscribing the bearings there should be some sort of C clamps. the one that you are going to have to use those special plyers, i can;t think of the name right now cause i am tires, but it pulls together the c clamps. at each end of the clamp u will see 2 little holes. use that to remove the clamp.
after this you are going to remove the long 12mm bolts that connect the gear box to the bellhousing. i am sure you can find the crease of where the gearbox meets the bellhousing.
now that everything is unbolted, CAREFULLY use a rubber mallet and start to hit the bellhousing away from the gearbox. hit it at different locations. once u have an opening use a pry bar to seperate the gearbox and bellhousing, best way to do this, stand up the tranny, and pull up on the gearbox.
now you are ready to make the hybrid tranny. get some high temp rtv, insert the ka gearbox into the sr bellhousing. and do everything back in reverse that i just mentined. hope that helps. aim me tomorrow if u need help jonass00
