well I think my drag racing days are finally winding down. It's not doing it for me anymore among a lot of other things that bother me about it. But rather than rag on that all day I'm just wondering if there are any other srt owners out there in the area who do any road racing or who might be interested in trying it with me, seeing as my interests are now heading down that direction

There is a Chin Event at Sebring on Aug 25th.
For 20.00 you can ride with solo qualified drivers on the track.

As for your car, brakes are the first area I would upgrade and a seat.
Then, get as much track time as possible. Chin MotorSports - More Tracks, More Track Time! (http://www.chinmotorsports.com)

I know there's a few guys like myself that have gone out on road courses but if you find 1 let me know and a few of us can get together and if it's a small track we could rent it out for the day if we get a probably like 20 ppl. Going out of town, maybe out of state might be the most likely option, when I gone in the past we had to make it a weekend trip but keep us posted...

Thanks for the info. I might see what I can do about getting out there, that day. Yeah I need tires first, then i'll focus my area on like you said brakes etc. I like my viper seats, they hold me really well, with some inserts and harness'/bar i think i'd be good for the time being. it will be quite some time before i get new ones

Yes, don't waste money on seats...go for the harness slot instead. I still have to do mine...I'm just too chicked to try it..

First time out, you can go stock. Bleed your brakes.
As you get seat time you'll understand how you should improve the car.

Yes, they are....hyperblack...with a machined lip "1/2 inch" done by Glenn's

BY far the best wheels I have ever owned. Got em for a low price too...

the seatbacks are covers...not sure about the bottoms

nah i'm talking about the leather parts at the bottom that hug your legs.
