Official St. Pete Meet and Greet (go karts)

Ok, this is for all of those who chose Ft.Desoto as the place for the TR WTFBBQ.... this won't be a WTFBBQ, but will be a chance for those of us on this side of the bay to get together and ride go karts at St. Pete Grand Prix.

Next weekend, if there is enough interest by then, we can reserve the track and have some fun, then maybe go get some food at Winghouse on US19 and Park Blvd....

Post up if you are down....( just be aware that I will stomp everyone and get the Gold....lol) Official date... Saturday July 28th....

well at a normal rate it is 40 for 3 14 lap races. I have never looked into a group rate, but Im going there on tuesday for league night and I will ask what it would cost to rent out the track for a day or something. then we can split it and see what it comes out to.

The go-karts are def. electric and the track is fairly technical so even though you won't be going super fast, it will feel like it because of the turns and everything.... over-all, it's a very fun way to waste an afternoon....:cool:

They provide everythang y0....

Seriously, you get the helmet, the face mask and that is it...the Karts have safety belts....

They are not dangerous unless you have never driven a go-kart or a car....

Basically, the races are like heats....there are 3 12 lappers....and whoever gets the quickest lap wins and moves on to the final 24 lapper...

That is awesome, meaning, you can have a really bad lap, spin out and all, but still qualify high or even win the heat with ONE good lap....

Carts are faster during evening hours, i would reccomend somewhere around 7pm. but if you guys are trying to rent the track out, then i think you have to go during daytime hours.

Okay, here is the deal, I have been told that I am leaving to Miami/Dade for work on Thursday... I'll be gone for about a month and a half.

So, anyone who wants to still go to this just needs to coordinate it with others who are definitely in, sorry I can't make it but I go where they tell me to for work...
