me(STi) vs C5 Corvette

Friday night I was heading north on 41 st. This black, convertable C5 pulls up next to me wanting to run. At first I didnt want to seeing how we were already going 75mph and my car is not good from up top. But soon we hit a light and he decides to get behind me. So I said "Ok we can play some cat and mouse chase." Light turns green and after i get into second at about 15mph i punched it and so did he afterwards. I shutdown at about 90-95 and had about 5-6 cars on him, so no point to keep going.

Afterwards I dropped my mph to 60 and downshifted into 4th to let him catch up. I figured we can now go from side to side and I'll give him his high roll from a 60. Off we went and about 100-110 I had about 3 cars on him and didnt see any point to keep going since I just kept pulling away.

The LS is a very stout engine we all know that. If the vette had a few mods I am sure it would have been quite a race.
The STI is modded. Not a surprise @ all especially if the Vette was stock!!

good kill bro, everyone thinks that c5's are sooo fast. i raced my buddies c5 w/ exhaust and pulled almost 2 cars on him from 45-120. c5's only go mid-low 13's stock

up top, they get away quick. i played with one with the big setup. i got em but it wasnt a beatdown. i got the jump down low and just held it
