i saw the manifold you built for my friends SVT focus (jeff) and its what ive been wanting to build for my supra. did you use the 1010 low carbon steel or the 304 stainless steel? either way, i wanted to pick up a bunch of peices to make a T4 manifold to my own needs. if you could point me in the right direction or help me out, id greatly appreciate it.

There's a few places that offer the stainless elbows. For short manifold you can use 304L , longer runner manifolds you really should use 316 or 321.
We buy them from McMaster Car.

so you typically use the 304L pieces and dont really recommend the cast steel elbows at all?
i found a place called RB Wagner a few years back. they sell these pieces as hand rail tubing but i didnt know if you had something you used that was more appropriate for this kind of thing. i assume you use 308 filler rod when assembling the manifolds too.
as far as making the bends, do you just try to piece them together w/ the off-the-shelf bends like the 35*, 45*, 55* or will you take straight pieces and mitre the ends? lately, ive been doing pie cuts for exhausts and down pipes like you did for Jeff's intercooler pipes.
thanks for your help

I wouldn't use hand rail type stainless. The cast stainless Sch 10 and 40 the way to go. Do a search on Honda-Tech, there's alot of info about building manifolds
