i was moving my amps around my trunk yesterday, didnt unplug any wires at all. i noticed one of the amps, the ground wire was off so i put it back on. i go to turn my radio on and my radio has no power. i checked the fuse under the dash, it was popped so i changed it. still nothing. i checked the fusebox next to the battery for the radio back up fuse, that was popped so i changed it also. still no power to the radio....
any help ........

Is it a stock radio? I know I blew the fuse on the back of my Sony Deck and didn't know it till I finally went to put the factory one back in.

there is a fuse under dash and under hood, some decks have fuses on the back of them or inline power wire - - meter it!

checked the ones under the dash and hood. havent looked at the back of the radio to see if it has one.

do what gradeA said, meter it to see if its the connection leading from the batt. to the amp on the headunit or if its the headunit itself...

Always the best thing. make sure none of the wire jackets are rubbing on a sharp edge and shorting out ;)

That'd be the reason for the fuses popping... and any other problem's you'd be getting.
Definitely fix it! If you don't have enough wire or its cutting it short and you really have to work hard just to have it reach, don't do it just buy more wire... Cheaping out on stuff sucks ass.:(

everything is all fixed. a wire was loose behind the radio. rewired the entire system and plays so much better. just need a couple fuses to finish it off :)
