If you buy new shocks/struts and make sure the rest of your suspension is okay you'll be fine. There is no need to drop an 86 Toyota pickup if all you want to do is improve the handling. Now if you want to blast some Reggaton, get a candy apple paintjob, and get big dawg rims thats a different story - but I can assure you that if you replace any defective suspension parts the truck will handle fine while being driven the way is was manufactured to be driven.

sure my truck wasnt meant for real racing but corollas wernt meant to drift u know what i mean so i want to give it some looks since its so ugly and give it better grip and handeling on corners

The one with 25Xk miles I owned felt like it was built to drift and I dont give a rats ass about drifting

Doubt they make a performance suspension system for that truck. If better handling is what you're going for, I'd get some good shocks, good tires, and an alignment...probably the best you'll do. If looks is what you're going for, drop it...but your handling will probably only be negatively affected.

I think about one of the few lowering kits available for your truck will be the 2" front and 3" rear drop kit from Bell Tech, they also offer the shocks as well, KYB also offer the GR-2 shocks which are a good replacement shock but stiffer than factory,

I have an 06 F-150 with an Eibach 2" front and rear drop, the truck handles like a car and I love it,

I have only replaced the springs so far, I will be replacing the shocks and sway bars as well,

your truck is 20 years olds, just like my Corolla AE86,

I would replace all suspension bushings, any bad suspension parts ( ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, etc.. ),

then I would get the lowering kit, shocks and a good alignment,

also, the most important piece of any suspension set up, tires,

make sure you have a good set of tires,

Get the poly graphite bushing kit from Suspension Technologys.

Measure the front suspension to see how much it can come down,
then set the back down with lowering blocks for the straight axle,
until the car rides level.

Go with stock springs and hard shocks. Add an anti-sway bar to the back,
then increase the size/number of the front bar/bars to nuetralize out the handling. If you have no bars at all right now, junkyard bars are about $20. I find a lot of heavy duty bars there.

When you get to testing out the handling seriously, I know a place we can set it up for your particular driving style. -Bob

I know for a fact there are poly bushings, larger sway bars, nice drop kits available. If you want optimum performance do a 4-link setup. LMK if I can help.
