Wonder if you ever forgotten about your long lost customer who bought a SR from you, Whom you promise with purchase of the car with free A/C repair. How long has it been now. It's been about 2yrs and time has fly by and the heat is beating ever since. Where's that A/C. Wonder if you even ever care about your first customers since that shop open? Talking about being patient and letting time fly like nothing. I think you should stick to what you tell your customers.
- HOLLER......... ( an old friend )...
*P.S. - By the way, Congrats to you and terri*... finally eh!!

Just curious why this is brought up 2 years later? Did you ever try setting up an appointment to come in and get it fixed?Im just trying to get more details to the story.

I dont think its the responsibility of the seller to track down the owner for repairs. If you need something done you call and schedule an appointment to get the promised repairs completed right?? Maybe I'm missing something.

A time ago, when i call for it to be done, its always been extended. And plus it took 2yrs cause he never had the parts. I kept having to wait for it because he keeps on telling me that the parts are coming, and it never does. But i know that now, he haves the parts to do it. The thing is, i have alot of issues with my car right now that wasn't my fault. I had my motor reassemble by his shop and had it back with alot of loose bolts and lots of things that wasn't working the way it was suppose to when my car was laying at his shop for a long time. Well all i have to say is that, at that time of my car being repaired by his shop, my car was just laying in the back of his shop for a long time and it wasn't even bother to be worked on for the a/c. Does that answer your question?
Instead of posting why dont you call and talk to Ian or any one else at the shop. 813 236 4500. Posting up on the internet isnt going to solve any of your problems or get the ball rolling on anything.

Let me set the record straight!
You motor was NOT reassembled by Driven Concepts; in fact, you selected the builder and insisted for him to do it. I will leave the person's name out of this thread, but we had advised you NOT to go with this particular person. Driven Concepts had NOTHING to do with the build of your motor.
It's funny how the facts of the story weren't mentioned at all in your posts. Might want to let people understand that the motor was taken apart in a home garage by an employee that was fired from Driven Concepts. Might also want to state the fact that it sat at his house, with all parts lying around being weathered for almost a year.
FuSwOoSh decided not to spend money at a local shop such as ours and took his vehicle to a person whom he be-friended that worked at Driven Concepts for a short period of time. The car was completely taken apart, with parts that just sat around and either got lost or rusted enough that they couldn't be re-used. From there, the car sat for close to a year if not more before it was taken to us. The vehicle sat at Driven Concepts for a period of time, while waiting for FuSwOoSh to gather all the parts back up. When I say parts, I mean parts that can’t be overlooked – transmission, motor mounts, drive shaft, harness, etc… An example would be the wiring harness. The harness sat out for so long in rain, heat, etc…that the electrical tape were literally peeling and or cracking off.
FuSwOoSh didn't have the budget to get the vehicle completed; therefore it sat for a long time, because he was NOT willing to spend the money. The vehicle sat while we waited for FuSwOoSh to give us the go once he’s saved enough money. After months of waiting, FuSwOoSh came and told us that he now has the money and wanted us to ignore our scheduled appointments and jump on his car. The point he was trying to make was that the car had been sitting in our shop the whole time and it should have been scheduled (while we had no idea when he would have had the money). We turned down his demand and told him that we will put him on the waiting list. Once the vehicle was up and running, we found out the long list of problems. Problems such as damaged interior harness, bad slave and master cylinders, etc.......
The vehicle sat EVEN longer after it was completed, because FuSwOoSh again didn’t have the money to pay for his bill, because at the time, he took a recent vocation and spent all the money that was supposed to go towards the final bill. Further more he demanded Driven Concepts to give him some form of payment plan. He wanted to take the vehicle before it was paid off. The end result came down to that he borrowed money from his father to pay for the repairs. But wait, it wasn’t this easy. Now that his father was involved, he didn’t want to pay up until we agreed to give some form of a warranty against the motor that was build by someone we did not desire. FuSwOoSh was informed of this before the motor even got dropped off, but he neglected to listen. We again turned down the demand as the person whom had built the motor was not someone we would recommend. FuSwOoSh’s father finally writes a check, but the amount was short over $1000 and even though we said NO on the payment plan, FuSwOoSh came with his older brother to try and talk us in giving us the partial payment and let them take the car.
As for your AC being repaired, well put it simply, you tend to leave out important facts. You claimed that we NEVER had the parts to get your AC installed. Well, a year and half ago, if you asked anyone where might a person be able to find ANY used 240sx related parts, they would have told you Driven Concepts. For a customer that has been around and have seen the 20~30 parts cars we always had in stock, with new cars coming in each week, you knew well off that we had the parts. Please do not make it sound as if we were lying by telling you we never had the parts. The simple truth to this matter is that soon after the vehicle was purchased, FuSwOoSh stopped coming to Driven Concepts, because his car was consistently being worked on and upgraded through the ex-employee. The AC system was brought up after the vehicle returned to Driven Concepts over a year later, when we no longer have anymore parts cars available. Furthermore, the car came back to us missing the condenser, dryer, etc….in which he also wanted us to ‘throw in’. Also bothers me fact that you said it took 2 years because we didn't have the parts, whether we had the parts or not, why not tell everyone that out of the 2 years, the car may have sat around for a good 14~15 month?
Driven Concepts was brought half a car that was completely taken apart, missing all bolts, wiring, and other very important parts. Due to financial problems, FuSwOoSh was unable to purchase necessary parts to complete the build. What bothers me is that fact that FuSwOoSh was once a very loyal customer until he found out he can spend a quarter of the price by going to someone that we fired due to inabilities. He eventually got screwed over by the guy and the car was left to sit and rust out. Monies that were paid to the ex-employee was gone and with half of the parts missing that was suppose to have been paid for. Again, with the original parts that came off of the car which was either lost or sat around and got damaged. The list goes on and on and on.
For those that actually have read the entire thread should be able to relate with what went on. It was problems on top of problems, it got old and quick.

Ahmmm let me rephrase. Money was never short. You sure do love putting words in peoples mouth. Check was received with money. My brother came with me because of ride purposes. Ian, i have no prob with you about your family, so leave my family out of this. If you wanna bring stuff up about my family, come to my face. I wrote this thread because i am claiming my A/C repair. I will fax or send these receipts stating free a/c repair to you upon request purposes.
By the way, i never requested/picked anyone to fix my car, he upon chose himself to fix my car. I have no time for this no more. I see why you lose alot of friends that should still be your friend right now. I'll stop writing to this thread now, sorry if i even brought it up. Just a few words to you IAN, take care in life. PEACE!

We don't need to go any further, people on this forum don't need to know any of your or my personal issues. As for loosing friends, it seems that when it comes down between business or friendship, I have to do what's the best for my family and I.
While standing on my side of the fence, I cannot 'front' people things or take installments just because you are my friend. I have done it plenty in the past and have gotten screwed EVERY single time, some were even very good friends of mine. On your side of the fence, I am sure your promises are good, but when shit hits the fan, the lesser important debts becomes far less important to be paid.
If you were a true friend and cannot understand the fact that for a business to run, we cannot live off of promises and or installaments.
