so i was REALLY nervous driving my car around with the SAFC2 untuned, and was just overall curious, and wanted to see what kind of power i was making.
so according to a few different sources, a stock 99 subaru legacy makes "around" 90 whp
my first run, untuned with catback exhaust, air filter and snorkus removed, and a lightweight pulley on 89 octane gas
95.72hp@6600rpm 116.62@6300rpm
had a bunch of runs, went through about 2-3 hours dyno tuning time with the guys working hard on my car almost the entire time, was a great experience
after working through some issues of thinking that the safc2 was installed wrong (wasn't), then the OverDrive kicking in and F*ing things up, and then the ECU learning around the SAFC2 and the tune... to say the least, i was only expecting around a 3-4 hp gain, but was wanting the reliability.
well my last run, hot motor, hot garage, ecu starting to learn around the safc2 already....
122.71hp@5300rpm 125.17torque@4000rpm
max was 124hp, 125tq^
so a 29whp gain and an 8.5tq gain
to say the least i am happy!
Thank you everyone at Brotherz' Racing
looking forward to getting the nitrous and headers installed later this week!
