and just in case your a little worried im giving my tranny to him in a few days also..stock rebuild with a double syncro second. but definetly pm him with your needs.. my quotes were very reasonable. so get yours!

Ouch...yeah that does suck. I assume you bought it used and have put 6k miles on it, since taking ownership? Otherwise, if the car itself only has 6k on it, then I'd look into the warranty coverage. How the hell did the tranny go out in the first place?

It might not be under warranty coverage if the dealership feels it was being ragged on. Especially if the car only has 6k and all of the sudden the transmission is broken. A transmission won't break at 6k if you drive it normally. Now if your beating on it, miss a gear and drop it into the wrong gear at a high rate of speed I can see it happening. I just don't see it breaking at 6k with normal driving.
