WTB Mazda RX-7 S5

I'm looking for a S5 89-91 RX-7. I only have $1000 so I know that I'm going to get something that needs work. It must have interior. I don't care if it's 5 speed or not. I just want a S5. I don't mean to lowball everyone but I'm not rich and I have a child to think of.

so what your saying is that u want a s5 that has interior, and does not matter if it runs or not. or even have a drivetrain??? i figured this bc u said shell... when i hear that i think of rolling shell or non running car....

Sure, I just would like something that I could build into my dream S5. I know I won't get a running TII, just not a S4 or a Vert. I had a S4 but it caught on fire.

my s4 looked just like a s5 in and out. is it bc of the looks or bc u hate the s4 PD (pulsation dampner)?

ill keep a look out for you.. in always running across a s5 for cheap.

Well, my S4 engine had a lot of problems and I know that the S5 engine is more up-to-date. If someone had a S4 that looked like a S5 I wouldn't turn it down. The verts are nice but safety first. I would weld a show bar like a 4 or 6 point.

ummm i thought only the 12a was a carb motor so that would mean its not a s5 or someone swapped the motors on you. someone else chime in on this im still learning my shit

As far as I know that it's a S5 motor just not fuel injected. I need all the parts to switch it back.

u can convert the 6port s5 motor to carb u gain some ponies that way.. just too much money in my opinion..

yea a knew a guy that put a webber carb system on his 91 along with other mods and tuning... didnt impress me at all.
my intake/full exh. s4 blew by him everytime.
shouldnt be to hard to convert back just need lim/uim/plenum/tb/injectors/harness/etc.
where you located???? maybe i can help out a lil bit. i would give you some parts but i have sold all my s5 motor parts

Your help would be a life saver. I had a s4 but it caught on fire and I don't want that to happen again. If you can give me a list of what I would need to convert it back that would help too. Thanks
