Dam I am going to have to miss this one. I still need to get out and run a Fast event. But the 9th is a BMW CCA car show at Fields in lakeland. We are entering the Classic and New Mini coopers.
Muddy make sure you do in car video so I can see the layout.
Thanks

I was thinking about skipping this one to get caught up on some work,
But a Muddy designed course could be very MSM friendly.
I'm thinking street tires this time. (one of my track tires is wobbly)
P.S.
It would make me really happy if I could just leave it in 3rd gear. ( 4th? )

I designed what I consider a challenging course and I threw in a few course elements you don't see very often around here. ;)
I felt that last month was a mustang course and I didn't want a repeat. I think third gear will be inevitable in a MSM, but it won't be third all the way through the course. :)

I can't effin' believe I missed this autocross! I was just checking the FAST site to make sure nothing changed when I noticed it was Saturday not Sunday!
I had already missed two of my scheduled autocrosses in a row (for more legitimate reasons). Now I've missed three!!
I even had 2 new front tires installed today!
P.S. GAWD!!!!

Wow... I've been immortalized!
Great Event and it was VERY good to run again after more than a year off.

It was a nice event... The course was challenging, but not annoying. The cone-wall-slalom was errr...interesting. :)
Good stuff. :)

Why cant i click the links for the pics and videos? I live just down the road from the brooksville airport and wanted to come check it out but i missed it. I want to at least see the video and everytime i click the link, a little red stoop sign with a hand in it appears, what does that mean?

It was nice to see you again, Brian. Hopefully, it won't be quite so long until your next event.

Make sure if you want to come out and watch an event you either register -- the announcements and links are posted in this forum -- or send a note to wedrivefaster@yahoo.com to make sure you get on the access roster. You need to be on the roster we submit to the airport management to get through the gate.

The 911 turbo that showed up was plenty hawt. Not only that, but the driver knew how to drive it... it was quite a sight watching him launch that sucker.

Looks very fun.
I really like the turn around, and the cone-wall-slalom.
I'm stealing both ideas.
It seemed a little short for Brooksville,
but that might just be Muddy's lightning fast driving.
Oh, and I feel just like Rosko.
I seem to be missing a bunch lately.

It was a bit short. FTD was a 37.2. However, a short course works well when you have ~35 drivers and it is 100* outside. If it was cooler outside, I think we could have done 12 runs that day. I stopped at 8 runs because I was concerned for the course workers. :D

I wansn't even close to street tire FTD... I don't feel bad about going slower than the Porka or the ///M Roadster, but a Subaru? I am ashamed. :-(

They must've been pretty good if they beat you, Jason. I like to hear about more great drivers on street tires. Have you seen them around before? Will Jeremy pass the street tire tiara to someone else?

I'm not good, I just got lucky this time. My lowly FK451's actually held up pretty well.
If I hadn't coned the 2nd to last gate in the final slalom I would have beat the ///M roadster too :(

Seems unlikely as far as season points go. 6 of 11 events are done.
Class D standings prior to this event were:
Jeremy : 31
Russ : 24 (moved to WA, will never increase from 24)
Me : 22
So if someone new can step in and win every event from here on out, more power to them.
