ok im not a professional installer or anything like that i have done many setups and so on but this one gets me here...need some help, i drive a ragular cab ranger and have a 10 in it. i have a custom made fiberglass box that i would like to make smaller for passenger comforts but its now facing the front of the truck that sits behind the pass seat..it sounds great in the driver seat but sounds really boring in the pass seat. so if i place the sub facing the rear would it affect it any and how? i know in cars its better to face the sub towards the rear so it can "bounce" off the back but i dont have very much room for any bouncing...any help would be very appreciated, if i left some information out ill post more i didnt post the sub or anything but if necessary than i can. its sealed by the way

Really, every application is different. It all depends on the vehicle, box, and equipment used. Basically, it comes down to a trial and error thing.

Goodluck finding someone with the same sub, amp, truck, and box.

I've found down-firing enclosures usually sound pretty good in trucks.

the only thing i would say, would be because u Do Not have the room for it to bounce off, face them towards the front. In which every truck that I have seen, has them facing front. Cuz otherwise u face it towards the rear, im guessing from wut i know about trucks, ull be very close 2 the back of the cab, and it would probably increase vibrations and rattling unless u have good dynamat. And u would also be risking ur sub vibrating towards the back or just shifting around while ur drivin, (and i forget wut type of sub if its enclosed or not), u could risk it hittin the back of the cab and damagin the ring, and recoils from restriction of movement....

But other than that im a little confused on wut ur box looks like, and confused about the difference in sound in each seat...

x2 on downfire or put the sub in between the 2 seats.

^ nahh i haul my bike too much for that...ill take a pic of the box now and post it.. but with the sound its like when i drive it sounds like it should good and bass is there. but when i sit in the pass. seat it sounds muffled, i know the seat is in the way but i would think the sound would be the same...

blow through takes up such a small space how would it stop you from carrying your bike?

you can try some bass tubes - they work pretty good in truck - they will be fireing sideways

I seen a ranger with the subs facing backward and slot ports facing forwards and it sounded pretty good they were to 10's
