Gates open at 4 and racing starts at 5? Is that correct?
Ahhhh Nick!
05-10-2007, 03:15 PM
Yea, but more like racing starts at 6:30 and track closes every hour to clean-up the mess haha. Maybe I'll bring the GS-T out next weekend..

The recorder said 4-11. I guess I'll just not be in any hurry to get there. Is it possible to get 6 or so runs in for a slick tire/pro tree car?

That would be a big NO. The last time I ran my car out there(2 weeks ago) I was there from 6 to 10:30 and only got 3 runs in. The most runs I have ever gotten in at Lakeland is 4. Good luck.
Ahhhh Nick!

Ehh I got out there once at 4 and the track was actually open, just me & my buddy running alone I think 4 times without having to stop. Got like 9 runs in that night, track was shitty but so is my car...
That is extremely rare, count on getting like 3 passes.

Well, damn. At least it's cheap. Look for the overkill of a Renegade rig. That's me. LOL

Well hope you have a good time out there. Let us know how it went. I may go out next Thursday. Didn't feel like going tonight.

Track was crap. The waits were short, but there was nothing for traction. =(

That sucks. It seems like the track prep gets worse and worse every weeks. Hope they can turn things around out there.

I hope so, too. It's only a 30 minute drive for us, and I've been going there for 10 years. I'd like to keep going.

So how does lakeland compare to sunshine? Is it worth the drive to go to sunshine?

Thats why I didn't go out there last night.

Even when everybody else had issues with Sunshine, my car always got down. There's no reason for my car to have traction problems. Last night was worse than Club 1320 at Bradenton. It was a slip n slide all the way down.
Sunshine is GOOD. If you get there right at opening, you can make laps. The street car lanes start getting pretty packed about 7:00.
My only complaint with going there is the drive. Not the distance, but the actual location and roads you have to take.

Cool, thanks for the info. I would have to drive over from Lakeland and don't get off work til 5pm. I have talked about driving over for months and haven't done it yet. I just need to do it one wed. so and can see for myself.

Well now they're up, but they aren't right. Rob O. should have 144 points, I should have 100, and George should have 91, I think. I should be ahead of George.

The current lease is up at the end of the month, I think. After that, who knows. I doubt it'll close, though..too many people interested in buying it or leasing it.
