antenna booster?

Does anyone know if they make any kind of radio antenna booster? Ever since I got my Alpine HU, my radio reception sucks on a lot of channels in a lot of areas where it worked before....:roll:

or thoughts on how to make it better?

I'm sure there's something like that out there. I'll also bet it doesn't work all that great.

I would try running a new antenna lead to the antenna you have first - make sure you have an excellent ground on either end(there should be a braided wire coming off the antenna and ground the chassis of the alpine headunit).

I bet this will improve your reception



+1 to above, antenna boosters are garbage. if the signal isnt there all it does is boost static. most headunits has a +15db boost built in that auto adjusts itself so adding a static +10db is not going to magically make the signal appear.
