so what kinda deal can i get on an OEM/vented carbon hood. id like a high quality one so i expect it to be pricey. i dont want one thats gonna fade or break in a year. show me what you got DC! :D i need one for a silvia not one for flip up lights, incase you guys forgot :P
For high quality I would go with a seibon hood without a doubt.
You have a choice of vented:

Non vented:

I hold a Seibon account, I can most likely get you either one of the hoods in the 450-550 range (depends on shipping since it will be freight).
In a cheap hood not only may it be flimsy, thin as paper (we have a CF hood at the shop now for a supra which you can basically see right through it in the light!), or require modifications in order to fit, but it will also FIT like ass. A good fitting hood to me is as important as having tasteful wheels on a car, because we all know wheels basically make the car.

ohh i like those, but two vents looks kinda ricey to me. i wanted vents for better cooling. what do you suggest kirk? and those are in my price range
I am personally not a big fan of vents which come up above the hood 'line', but next time you are at the shop look at Chris' CF hood on the 2JZ 240sx, it flows very well with his car.
