I have a 2007 Mustang with the shaker 500 and I swapped it out for my Kenwood DDX6019 DVD/CD player. I have the regular harness and the little harness hooked up, but it doesnt sound right. Does anyone know exactly what you have to hook up to make the two subs in the door work and can u use them if you are putting other subs in the trunk?

You're going to have to probably rewire it and throw in all new speakers. Those premium stereos suck ass as far as interchangeability.

if it is like the mach systems - the door speakers are a mono signal
and the tweeters in corners are stereo, correct way - new speakers and rewire, but i have been able to feed a signal to the factory amps for the doors lows and rewired the tweeters to run off headunit power - getto but did not sound bad - you have to have a radio that has seperate sub out volume control. I would completly rewire if it was mine!
swap your mustang for a better car, then all your stereo stuff should work.
why swap it out. it's actually a pretty decent system.

You need the Metra 70-5521 to integrate the subs in the front doors. The rest should be the standard Ford plug (70-5520). It might be hard to find the 5521 in stock anywhere local. We can order it at Circuit City for 20 bucks.
