i know that there are a lot of threads about people asking what would be best for their cars and what not, but i would like to get very technical threads going on suspension terms, set ups etc

like one good thread a week, for example Ackerman, then Anti dive and then anti squat, roll centers, polar moments of inertia, etc

i know some, this is what im getting into trying to design suspensions for the cars at school, but im hardly an expert on these topics. i think it would be a great thing for everyone to put what they can find, know, or questions that some of us might be able to answer. ive been doing a lot of research on these subjects, but the only problem is everyone has a differing opinion of course. but having good technical discussions would be of immense help to everyone, that way when they ask what is best for their car, they can maybe look and think hard about it to make a good well informed decision. i know i would make my own parts if possible, but i know many cant. if we have these threads going, we could all look in it hard to make the best decisions for each person.

i dont know if we have many who would be willing to dive into these threads. we get a pretty decent traffic amount in here for such a new forum. i know i would be willing to get int it, im just testing the waters i guess:nerd:

I don't mind posting suggestions to questions people ask, but if people really want to know about suspension and chassis design and tuning, there are plenty of resources available.

Suspension (vehicle) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suspension_%28vehicle%29)
Car Bibles : The Car Suspension Bible (http://www.carbibles.com/suspension_bible.html)
Untitled Document (http://www.optimumg.com/)

I will probably be doing a little suspension "seminar" this summer if it's something people are interested in. If you're looking into suspension design, I have some books you might be interested in. Just let me know.

Thanks for the Links Joel.
I'd love to check those books out plus attend the Seminar if possible.

BLUE2KSS, I think any type of informative post in this forum would be beneficial.
It will bring more debate, opinions, valuable information, and most of all More Members to the table.

Let's Do It.
