point and shoots will never give you the same good shot like a dslr will. honestly, youre better off just saving alittle more and getting a good one.

well its 100 bucks i really want an slr but she wants to buy it its her money lol im still saving my money to buy a slr later on but i really need a camara

well a hundred isnt bad actually. and free is free, get it. practice alot and save :)

I use a S5200, and the internals of the camera are similar to an SLR only big difference is that it has a Fixed lens. Its a good starter camera.

whats a good dslr? I'm fond of nikon but cannon is the other top choice to me. More people seem to like Cannon on this site. It's like high school rivals. Pick my school!

Im looking into a Cannon rebel xti, It seems to be a very popular camera

But Nikkon D80 is an awesome camera too
