Well after this easter weekend im never going to lunch after church with rich people again.While eating they started asking me questions like what do I do and what I drive.I told them I work on cars and they grined.But they joked when I told them I drive a modded 2000 gt,lightning,and a gixxer.They questioned if I made good decisions in my life.Hinting Ford is low class.

I'm a humble laid back guy,but this got me rowdy.No rich daddys girl with her 31 year old bank teller husband is telling me whats up.I told him im not just a "grease monkey",im a shop owner who's morgage is more than his paycheck.And that Xterra they drive may be on payments,but my toys are paid in cash.The fact that I choose Ford doesnt make me a avarege joe.It's the reward of my hard working risk taking nature.They STFU after they learned im 23 and came from a broke background.

Ya know. I know the exact attitude your speaking of being I have a house in Greenwich CT (a tear down house is 800K here) and thats in a lower middle class neighborhood. Ive never heard somone in an XTERA actinf snobby like its a nice vehical!!! When they said they had an Xtera i would have laughed in their face then randomly had laughter well up for the rest of lunch.

BTW i get more compliments on my cobra from older guys in porsches , vettes , bmw and mercedes then anything else. Theese are people that have more money then anyone needs. They know what lightnings are , they know what cobras are. They also are CAR GUYS. Some people wouldnt know a special car if it ran them over dude.

 

It will always be that way. There are plenty of people who will judge you based off their short stack of knowledge. So try not to let it get to you....
