1st RUN IN MY 1ST DSM...

Last week I got a 90 Laser with a 4g63 turbo. Has some mods but nothing to crazy yet. I installed a catch can and went to 16psi to go have some fun. Me and my friend with a Z06 T.A. went out and met up with a few people and headed off to Tampa off of hw41. We get there and noone runs for over a half hour and then a 90 TSI TURBO pulls up and picks my out to run. So we line up and 1st through third I get nothing but smoke (must be nice to be all wheel drive) and got walked. We turn around a little over a mile down the road and agree to run from a roll to see what happens car against car. So we take off and 2nd and 3rd we are dead even, hit 4th and I got em by a fender or so. We get to the point that everyone was at in a parking lot off the road and flew by at an unknown speed (speedo stops at 145mph) at what I would say was a photo finnish. In the main time my boy in the WS6 was a few cars back but right with us, we all turn back and park, got some feedback from each other along with some spectators and hung out for a while. And you know what, nobody would race the three of us after that :( but I have to say I am happy with my 1st DSM ever... I am amazed what these cars are capable of with min. mods.

P.S. On the way out I had a quick run with a new Si (k-series) and got my first KILL... Effortless kill, spooled in 3rd and walked away...

I am starting to realize this is very true. I have allready made plans for a stage 2 head and a 20g or 57 trim, along with 660cc inj., and a laptop to go with my allready installed DSM LINK. Another thing I am looking for is a stainless header and some sick cams (like 292's) to go with the head. I am looking for 400whp by June... If you have any of this lmk and thanks for the feedback.

Thats the guy but I never said I had a 20g or 770's. I am on a port matched big 16g with stock 450's. And he didn't rape me, I smoked 1st and 2nd then pulled back in the parking lot. Then he raced my boy in the "Z06 T.A." and I followed, when the talon turned around we ran back from a roll and I pulled him in third and he pulled back up next to me and we ran to top end dead next to each other.

And so you know the T.A. has a complete Z06 CONVERSION, from the motor, trans, rearend, and suspention. It started as a stock WS6.

The guy in the talon seemed pretty cool but I guess he likes telling stories or something. Just to set it strait I am not saying this to start shit but who are you and do you wanna run?

Agreed. A WS6 would not be behind a "near stock" 1g in a race. Especially if it is a "Z06 conversion". The only way he would be behind you is if he wasn't racing. But the way you say it, he was racing. So good luck with that story because it's not true. -OR- your friend with the TA can't drive (not that you can really mess up a highway run). My turbo is at g-pop shop getting rebuilt and i'll gladly run him when its back on the car.Dsms are cheap and it sounds like he bets big bucks with a car worth at most 1k.I used to have a 1g drag talon with a HRC super 16g and i know i couldnt beat a zo6 anything from a dig or roll especially modded.Either something is wrong with the zo6 ta or someone is lying.I'm no hater i'm just realistic when it comes to racing.Oh and the excuse of spinning is bullshit buy a awd or get some drag radials.:bsflag:

I call BS on a Z06 Conversion. You shot yourself in the foot when you said it has a ZO6 suspension change. Corvetts have a independent rear suspension and the TA's have a solid rear. How would you do against a 240 with a SR20 swap pushing 14lbs with a FMIC? If that beats you then you have no chance against a stock TA auto, a 6 speed would rape you even worse.

I have seen plenty of carswin races that they shouldn't, and many lose races that they should have won. I have seen plenty of 14b cars kill 16G cars, a bigger turbo doesn't make you faster. I have seen 16G cars kil GT30R cars... Brothers vs Dario...and there are plenty more...bigger isn't always faster. Just because the car shows it does 0-60 in such seconds faster then the other and has more horsepower doesn't mean anything if the guy or girl driving it doesn't know how to drive it. Its not always the car, its the driver behind the wheel. If you have a car with 500whp and don't know how to drive it... then the power is useless.

Why do all of you tell me to calm down? If all the pimple faced kids on here stopped talking shit I wouldn't have to say anything.
