Alright,for anybody who didnt know what my system was it was 1 audiobahn 12 in a almost fifth order box and it was pushing out 133.7dbs on a termlab....well i brought my car into the shop yesterday to put in the new cap and to fix a few things that i didnt like about the system.....ended up connecting everything finally turned the car on the sub played fine for a while then when i started to tune every thing and turned up the cap voltage it just turned off....i was pushin 500-750 wrms to it and it can handle 1000 wrms and 2k peak.....so i dont know what happend...soo i guess im waiting for my new 12 in MTX subs to come in...its gonna be in a nice box this time (for anybody who made fun of the seams on the old one)and it gona be carpeted or vinyl should be pretty bad ass...im lookin to hit 140 on the meter next time we test....

sorry to hear about the sub man. cant wait to see/hear the new set up. plus i really do hope the new box will be cleaner than the curent one. hahahaha j/k man i know it was a tester box. but seriously clean box this time :D

From my experience, Audiobahn overrates their wattage capabilities. Not that that was the cause of your sub blowing, but I wouldn't expect it to handle a true 1000w rms for any extended period of time. A poorly made fith order box probably didn't help either.
