View Full Version : Decided to sell my system....

Earlier yesterday I decided that I was really tired of my system and how it sounded. The D6's were nice and all, but after my neighbors kept trying to show off their system and telling me mine was too weak, I decided I needed something stronger. So i sold it all yesterday for 600 bucks.... much less than I paid for all of it to a close friend of mine.

Decided to buy 3 kicker solobaric L7's, and 3 4000 watt ebay branded amps, 1 to each subwoofer and bought 2 sets of eminence speakers (no highs though.)

Finished wiring it up this morning and had it metered using a buddy's termlab. Its nowhere near as clear as my old setup was, but its definitely louder and I'm pretty sure I can make my cellphone fly off my car in one 60hz burp.

wow so what happend to hating kicker....came to the darkside i see lol
good choice on speakers....my new mtx setup is goin in the jeep this week...wanna hit 140 with it

shit, stupid editing. I forgot i changed it to ebay amps (before i typed that i said alpine PDX's.)


Oh well Its not april 1st anymore.

Basically anyone who has ever read my posts knows i'd NEVER do this. I just hate those brands to no end (minus the alpine) and would never buy them if given the chance.

i was thinkin to, saying to myself i thought he hated kicker cuz you had said sumthin to me at one of the meets, but i thought maybe you had changed your mind, my speakers did pretty well if you ask me, i didnt think they wouldve hit that high i was really surprised

hahah thanks, 5 minute photoshop job.


yeah You actually had your girl's system tuned OK, sounded kinda boomy but it was better than i expected. I'll attribute that to the relative newness of the car and the JL amp. ;)


Never ever said kickers didn't hit hard when they were built properly but i've always said in terms of cleanliness they're rather lacking. I'll trade loudness for clarity any day.

lol, yea but what i paid for the speakers i couldnt really beat the price so i just had a box built for them and put them in the car, in the hole system in the car i have 175 dollars in it, i just put in 2 optima gel batteries in so not its up to like 250

and the amp, wiring, fuses, terminals, plugs, speakers, headunit, etc?

well the headunit and amp wire and everything was in the car when my girl bought it, had a friend owed me money and so i only paid like 50 bucks for the amp, and i bought the speakers for i think it was 75 and had danny build a box for them, i cant remember what how much i paid for that, i no its under 300 i got in the system which i dont think is bad
