View Full Version : Ever Get tired of you sound system?

I am becoming very very irate with my system. Ive been through 4 amps and about 8 subs. Also my door and dash speakers and deck have been swapped several times. I started with all pioneer door and dash speakers 150watts max 70watt continuous on an Xplod cd player and a 600 watt legacy amp with 2 MTX 10's 300rms. Well the amp lasted until i turned everything on and up. The amp literally caught on fire inside of my truck. Then i bought a 1200rms xplod amp and switched to a VR3 deck from walmart. Blew the MTX's 2 days later. Gave the deck away to my friend with a dsm. (only 80bucks who cares) He in turn hooked me up with a Jensen flip out lcd in dash dvd player. Put all of that on 2 xplod 1100rms 10's. Changed the dash speakers to 200watt xplods. That all ran great for about 3 weeks. I blew my second amp. Not sure how but it was like a surge ran through my truck. I bought the warranty so i just took it back to best buy and got a new one. Then a week later while sitting in my drive way showing off, (neons and system on all pretty :D) The amp blows yet again taking both of the subs with it. So i replace everything one more time subs and amp all the same. ANIHILATTED both subs, but on purpose bridged both subs. Its kinda starting to suck.:evil:

Buy Decent Equiptment And Have It Installed Correctly And Tuned Correctly - You Will Have A System That Will Sound Better And Last Longer..... I Do Custom Systems

First of all, you have a P.O.S. Sony Xplod headunit and amp.
Sony in your car = the same as walmart off-brand-name shit in your entertainment center at home.
And except for the pioneer, you keep buying crap-name brands? what do you expect?
Sounds like you dont know how to wire anything up either? Your shit cought on fire? how the fuck does anyone manage that anymore?

um you're def. doing something wrong. i've had the same kenwood amp and 12s for 3 years and no problems.i had sony explode 6x9s in a car for almost 4 years and they were fine too.

Oh wait he said he was "showing off" I guess that means he was probably in front of his house at 1AM when productive members of society are trying to get some sleep and he's out there blasting his shitty music through his even shittier gear. Nothing drives me more insane than retards who do this in front of their house. Go do it out on an empty parking lot in a mall if you really want to do some SPL testing, but more than likely you're too stupid and arrogant and self-absorbed to fucking care about other people who have to suffer existing near your annoying ass and waste of a car.
These people are probably the ones who keep giving decent members of car audio society a bad name. These are the Honda Ricers of the audio community. They have all flashy do-nothing gear, sounds like fart, and really only intended to be loud and annoying, not much else. They don't take the time to build up a nice clear sounding system at all, and just degrade it putting in a bunch of no-name or low quality gear and love to make up for it's lack of power by turning gains up or wiring improperly.
Go dump your system off in a lake, and stick to paying poor mechanics to welding on huge fart cans on your corollas, cavaliers, and civics.

Huh? First, Blaupunkt sucks ass...it's about on par with such great companies as Jensen. Second, Nike excluded? Performance-wise, Nike makes garbage. Their shoes are junk.

And as far as SPL testing infront of your house, I do it, but at 1pm when all my neighbors are at work lol.

I like working on mine in the driveway, and showing everyone i don't have to blow out my eardrums to test it either. I think people respect me for that, and i feel thats somewhat important ;)
