Okay, so I got in an accident on friday. Woo hoo. Go me. Just a fender bender, nothing major, just my bumper. This was about 8 am, maybe a bit earlier. Flash forward to me out of class, driving @ around 1 pm, everything is fine. Go to my GF's parents house for the weekend, take her car. Get in my blazer on monday, no sound. :(

So what in the hell. I go look in the cargo area, and the box has shifted. Figure, ok, maybe some wire got pulled out somewhere, it could have finally slipped over the weekend, and I wouldnt have noticed. So before I yank out the box and everything, I yank out the ol DMM. Battery? good. Fuse? good
12v at the amps? good. Uhh okay, turn on lead? Not so good. Maybe the turnon got cut? switch the amps to "signal sensing turn on" Nothing. Make a little jumper off the 12v and get the amps to turn on, but still no sound.

So before I go buy something, confirm for me that my HU finally went the way of the Dodo. I dont have a spare one lying around to pop in to find out.

I bet the RCAs and the remote lead grounded out.

ground - 1
HU outputs - 0

an easy way to check is to plug a walkman or something up to the amps with the remote lead jumpered.

I'm pretty sure I've got a headphone-rca adapter for my ipod somewhere.... lemme give that a whirl

Okay so that works. Jumper and iPod gives me music. So my Hu is done?

So after I unhooked the RCA to my 300/4 the HU works now. I think I'm going to buy a new one soon anyway. This is annoying.

Your RCA cable may be grounded or pinched somewhere - run a NEW set.

Try new RCAs, I don't think your HU is gone. Did you even check the remote connection at the HU? BTW bolt that box down.

Yeah, I checked the Remote, and there was no output from anything. My rears are off deck power, and they werent doing anything either.
