When I bought my 93 240 the power antenna did not work. I just figured it was broke. I picked up another antenna from the junk yard and installed it and it didn't work. I then hooked up the motor part of the antenna and it worked fine, same as the one I thought was broke when I bought the car, it works fine. Connect it to the battery and it goes up, reverse polarity and it goes down. Is there a special way to hook up an aftermarket radio to get the power antenna to work. I just hooked up the power antenna wire coming out of the radio to the power antenna wire on the radio harness kit and nothing. I'm getting 12 volts back at the antenna, but still not working. The factory antenna looks to be complicated compared to an aftermarket power antenna with 2 wires. Maybe an aftermarket would be better. Any thoughts?
