went to sunshine sat for import night

went there for the first time for import night. it was a rush no doubt. was able to make pass after pass with hardly no wait. there was a 50/50 mix between the rotary toyotas and the mix here on tr. my friend and i went heads up 6 times- he beat me 4 and i got 2-only because my rt was near perfect-he has much more mods than i do. my best rt was .004 and 9.55 @ 76 mph. and yes i know to many of you, this is slow. i did however beat all the other cars i raced. it was like taking drugs- the rush at the light when the christmas tree started was very intense. there was a couple of hondas and acuras with turbo and nitrous that hit 7.8s & 8.5s. for what its worth- it was a graet time.

That's the important part, having a good time. Eventually breaking parts and being slower than someone else just goes with the territory.

Can't wait to start going out again. I actually forsee me taking out the civic every so often again. Sounds like good time, and I love the short waits...

I love being able to run as soon as everything cools down enough.

Love Import night! personal best was a 7.7, but last week with my new ignition setup i could only pull a 7.8!

i went that night...black tiburon. I made a couple decent passes early on but i had bald tires and a slipping clutch so half of my runs i had to give up halfway down the track. Even with all those problems I still only lost once to that sick orange crx that was out there, all the other cars that raced me i beat

i will be there in just over a month. actualy moveing into the area from michigan. i will be there with my crx, fully gutted, and on a fresh rebuild. turbo d16a6. going to have to get used to the 1/8 mile... been running on 1/4 tracks forever...
