Argh, registration for this one came up fast. It's really bad when you can't even afford the 30 dollar registration for an autocross!

The next SPC event is in July. You could chair that one, and design the ultimate SPC course!

You can drive pretty much anything as long as it doesn't fall apart:lol:

...if it's a car. No bikes or trikes (we've been asked...), and nothing sitting tall enough to worry about rolling it. I think a stock 2WD S10 would be OK. Most SUVs and 4WD pickups sit too high.

I saw a guy at a PCA event manhalding an Avalaunch (misspelling intentional since I can't seem to make it look right) on 22's around the course. Guy had skill.

This has been your random comment of the day ;)

Actually, I like it the way you've spelled it.

PCA's free to take their own risks.....

I know for St. Pete it's not required, however I have the upgrades to the generator ready to go (in my head) Most importantly a "REAL" muffler and a larger fuel tank. for some reason my login to the FAST forums never got approved. (maybe i should take a hint) so if I can pick it up at this event I'll have the work done before Loren and I leave for south bend.

Your registration to the FAST forums was approved the day you submitted.

By me. By hand. On March 20.

A notice should have been sent to ltclloyd ... at you know where. Perhaps it ended up in your Spam folder or something.

I am staring at your member profile in the admin interface right now.

Just so's ya'll know, registration has hit its limit at 70. At SPC we can take last minute on-site entries (unlike Brooksville). Since we will undoubtedly have some no-shows, there will in all likelihood be some spots available that morning. We'll be giving pre-reg'd folks until 9, and at that point will begin taking on-site entries on a first-come basis up to the 70 entry limit.

SO, if you missed pre-reg and feel like taking your chance on getting a last minute spot, show up as early as you can...

Registered!!! few ?'s though...I have only ran with SCCA before...so not sure what class my car would be (06 V6 mustang stock) and as far as numbers go...can I use my magnets or do you use shoe polish? Also, what are the rules for helmets? Thanks :D

there are only a couple classes with fast, it's real easy.
stock street tire > 3 litre. most likley. the registration people are very helpful.

Magnetic numbers are fine. In all likelihood you'll be assigned the number you registered with, unless it's already reserved, in which case you can use the polish, or we usually have some paper numbers and blue tape available, too.

Helmet must be DOT approved. Not required, but highly recommended is a Snell rating - the more recent the better.

The list as it stands in MAE right now has been deconflicted with the reserve number list.

Dee -- looks to me like you're registered in the correct class, and got your third choice of number (420) simply because your first two were picked earlier.

In preperation for one lap to make the car as light as possable, my 06 SER has no wing, no door sill extensions, little to no interior, no fog lights, an <gasp> no subwoofer.. you really think the blinky light crowd would let me anywhere near tht place. of course some of those the girls are worth the price of admission alone, even if the cars are generally not scottish.

i didnt register yet but i really want to! i dont have a helmet either. it says i might be able to register at 930. Anyone wanna drive down there in the morning from tampa?

Loren

If you show up at 9:30, you won't register. Registration CLOSES at 9:30.

If you're not pre-registered and want to get in, you need to show up very early (8-8:30 or earlier) and be sure your name gets on the waiting list. THEN be at registration around 9am to claim a no-show spot.

Loaner helmets are available, BTW.
